Another day and another anniversary of something. Today would have marked Carnivore and Type O Negative’s imposing 6 foot 8 inch frontman Pete Steele’s 54th birthday. Sadly he passed away in 2010 due to a aortic aneurysm.
Type O Negative were the self professed purveyors of gloomy gothic metal which had a huge chunk of dry satire thrown in for extra effect, and affectionately known as the Drab Four – a play on the Fab Four moniker bestowed on the Beatles.
This slice of relative Type O happiness is taken from the bands penultimate release Life Is Killing Me from 2003. The video features stand up comedian Dan Fogler paying perverse homage to some iconic figures.
